Amália Rodrigues - (July 1, 1920 - 6 October 1999) was a singer-fadista and actress. Known as the voice of Portugal, as the Queen of Fado and as one of the most brilliant singers of XX century. Not only siung fado songs and other popular Portuguese tradition, but she also sung contemporary songs and even some music of foreign origin (French, American, Spanish, Italian, Brazilian). Outstanding contribution to the history of Fado, the novelty that was introduced to sing poems of great authors Portuguese established.

Mariza - (December 16, 1973) has been a regular on stages such as Carnegie Hall in New York, the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, the Lobero Theater in Santa Barbara, the Salle Pleyel in Paris, the Sydney Opera House or the Royal Albert Hall. José de Sousa Saramago - José de Sousa Saramago (November 16, 1922) is a writer, screenwriter, journalist, playwright and Portuguese poet. He was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1998. He also won the Camões Prize, the most important literary award of the Portuguese language. Saramago is considered responsible for the effective recognition of the prose in Portuguese.
